Wednesday Update

It is very late, and I am pretty tired, but wanted to get you a quick update. Tomorrow I will put up some of today´s pictures. We had an incredible day, and the Lord answered so much prayer-- my voice was ok, the weather cooled down with clouds covering us part of the day... Today, we met with several city council members. \yesterday we met with the mayor. \it was a great open door and honor to be invited into the mayor´s office and meet with city officials and it gave the Baptist work here an air of visibility and respectability. \if you go on their site, you can see the picture they took and put up of us. /and you can read about it-- but you~ll need to pull out your Portuguese dictionary! After lunch, we headed back to the school for our final day with the kids. /we had over 200 again, and it was a great day. Thanks for your prayers. Tonight we had a parents night, and had over 100 \i would guess, with many adults there. 3 of the city council members were also there, and they all 3 came up afterward to say how much they appreciated our work, and promised to help in any way they could if we came back again.
One of the pastors told me ours was the best team he has every worked with. \you would be proud of all this team. They have been troopers.
Tomorrow we take a much needed day off. The heat has been incredible, and it has zapped us all.

The errors in this update are because \i am using a brazilian keyboard here at the hotel, and \i don~t remember how it works for some of the letters and symbols. I´ll try to correct it when i get´my laptop back tomorrow from whoever is borrowing it.
